Puppy Grooms.

What does a puppy intro groom involve?

A puppy intro groom is essentially a desensitisation to the grooming salon and process. When pups first arrive at the salon, we give them plenty of time to have a good sniff around and explore the area and different smells. We also have a little play time to help show your pups it’s a safe, friendly place to be.

We then move on to show them the process of grooming, starting with a nice warm bubble bath in our top of the range Hydrobath. We use specialist hypoallergenic puppy shampoo which is designed to prevent skin irritation and is nice and soothing for them.

Once your pup’s bath is completed, we go on to give them a warm blow dry. We always start our hand dyers on a very low setting and all pups will wear a cosy hoody to help get them get used to the dryer noise and protect their little ears.  Please note- all dogs are hand dried and never left unattended. We do not use drying cabinets in our salon.

Once dry we then go on to give your pup a thorough brush through which really helps them get used to it both at the salon and helps when you do it at home too. We then show your pups some of the clippers and scissoring that’s involved in grooming, including a pad, feet, hygiene, back end and eye trim. This is a great opportunity for your puppy to get used to standing on the grooming table and get used to the different noises and sensations whilst we scissor and trim. We also then give them a nail clip to help get them get used to us touching their nails and lifting their feet etc.

To finish off we give them a spray with our finishing spray, a perfume spritz and a very cute bandana along with lots more cuddles of course!

We usually recommend between 1-3 puppy intro sessions depending on your dog’s age and how they cope with the grooming process. We will be able to advise you on this after your pups first visit.

These sessions are a great way for your pup to come the salon and get used to the environment, noises and atmosphere without the appointment being too long or too much for them, this in turn really helps set them up for their full adult grooms in the future.

Nagayu Skin Replenishing Treatment - £10.00

This is a specialist CO2 spa bathing treatment that is perfect for dogs with sore, dry or irritable skin. It increases blood flow that allows cells to absorb more nutrients and oxygen for the process of skin regeneration.

Furminating De-Shed Treatment - £10.00

Adding this treatment will remove up to 50% more hair than the standard brush out offered. This is a great treatment for larger, heavier coated dogs. Price shown is for 15 minutes.

Blueberry Facial Tear Stain Prevention - £7.50

Includes: Calming Head/Face Massage, Tear Stain Removal Treatment, Brightening Moisturiser.


Pawdicure - £6 or £12

Includes: Full Feet & Pad Tidy, Nail Clip & File, Paw Balm Massage. £6 when added to any Bath & Blow Dry or Groom, or £12 as a stand alone treatment.
