Two essential treatmeants for your dogs overall health and wellbeing
and ideal add-ons to our other treatments..
Nail Clipping.
Nail clipping is an essential part of your dog’s health and wellbeing. Leaving nails too long can go on to cause issues for your dog’s comfort and mobility.
Nails that are long not only look unattractive but overtime they can cause some serious damage to your dog. When nails are too long they can cause internal pain for your dogs as they push back into the nail bed on their paw. This can cause issues with their toe joints. (Imagine the pain you would feel wearing a pair of shoes two sizes too small for you)
In extreme cases, overgrown nails can curve and embed themselves into your dog’s pad, they can also spilt, get caught and torn which is very painful and depending on severity may need veterinary treatment.
A dog will grind their nails down at different rates and dogs that go on more field/ grass walks won’t wear their nails down as quick as ones that do road walks, hence why we need to keep a close eye on our pooches’ nails and get them trimmed when we feel they are getting a little on the long side!
At Arnie’s of Essex we offer nail clip appointments for just £7.50 and it doesn’t take too long so we do them whilst you wait! Although we do still require an appointment to be booked for this, in most cases we can get you booked in on the same day for an appointment.
Ear Cleaning.
Cleaning your dogs’ ears is an important part of keeping your dog healthy. Ear cleaning can help remove wax and debris which then in turn helps reduce the risk of ear infections.
Unfortunately, ear cleaning often gets overlooked but when an ear clean is carried out it is a great opportunity for us to be able to check deeper inside the ears for any other signs of problems such as ear mites and yeast build ups.
Whilst dogs don’t always require an ear clean on a groom appointment, please do let us know if you have noticed any issues with your dog’s ears. We do recommend an ear clean every couple of months just as a preventative and to keep the ear clean.
An ear clean is only £5 and is available as an add on to any full groom or bath & blow dry. We use a specialised ear solution that works its way into the ear and helps remove any dirt that has built up over time. You’ll be amazed at what we can get out and your pooch will leave a much happier sole.

Nagayu Skin Replenishing Treatment - £10.00
This is a specialist CO2 spa bathing treatment that is perfect for dogs with sore, dry or irritable skin. It increases blood flow that allows cells to absorb more nutrients and oxygen for the process of skin regeneration.
Furminating De-Shed Treatment - £10.00
Adding this treatment will remove up to 50% more hair than the standard brush out offered. This is a great treatment for larger, heavier coated dogs. Price shown is for 15 minutes.
Blueberry Facial Tear Stain Prevention - £7.50
Includes: Calming Head/Face Massage, Tear Stain Removal Treatment, Brightening Moisturiser.
Pawdicure - £6 or £12
Includes: Full Feet & Pad Tidy, Nail Clip & File, Paw Balm Massage. £6 when added to any Bath & Blow Dry or Groom, or £12 as a stand alone treatment.

If you’re not after a bath and blow dry or a full groom but your best friend needs some essential maintenance to keep them comfortable we can offer the following simple treatments while you wait!
Nail Clipping - £10.00
Ear Cleanse - £7.50
PLEASE NOTE: A surcharge may be applied for severely matted hair post groom.
CANCELLED OR MISSED APPOINTMENTS: Appointments can be cancelled or moved up to 24hrs before the appointment time booked. After that a £15 cancellation fee will be charged. If you fail to turn up to an appointment you will be charged the full groom price booked.
